Peli Pt with plenty of Pinna's. After the first run I thought it wouldn't be a good day for speed sailing (chronic wind and waves), but after watching and learning from Mark and Marcel, I thought I'd give it a go and do some runs off the wind. So glad I did!

Had the board trimming nicely today.

Peli point, 5.0 Ezzy, 88 Strapper, BenderSpecial 28? fin

Wind looked like it was howling so I rigged my 5.0 -- this was the wrong choice, I should have rigged the Blade 6.8 as the wind dropped off.

At one point I was in a total lull, I fell off and when I was going to waterstart out in the middle of the river something brushed my leg... the following waterstart was the quickest I've ever done!

Saw a number of Pinnas out there, hopefully we can do something with our mile score.

Not my best session ever but good to have a sneaky after work sail.

Good to see a top turn out from the Pinnas at Peli. More PB's from the boys. Marcel you were flying. Shame we couldn't get you on a mile. Happy with my Nmile. A swan river PB for me.Cool

Disappointed with the hour as I just couldn't control the board in the chop through the corners. Really struggled with spin out and had a couple of crash bang rail trips as a result.

Would have liked to try Pt Walter today but we needed that Nmile. Well done guys.Laughing

Had a good session. LOVED THE CONDITIONS!!!! bit sick of weak light winds so today was awesome!! Good to see lots of pinnas. Did a 31 on my first run so knew the session had some potential.... then broke my boom clamp on my second run... decided to play it safe so couldn't help the team with the NM runs.

Just did runs over the sand bar. GREAT FUN!!!!

Kombat 79, 5.8 Ezzy wave, standard fin.

Decided to spend the afternoon on the river Smile - got there 12:00 sailed till 6:30 - Sailing travel time 3hrs 12 , needed a couple of long rests in there. Great fun, sailed up to Lucky bay, where I got the 2 sec peak.  The 1 hour was me going upwind. After a rest I started to come back and realised the yatch racing had started, lot of big boats to avoid. Then met Mark and another rest was needed. Im surprised that the Nm was after that.

Only my second time over 30 Kn so all good. Hit some rocks very hard on the way back, amazed the fin and box were still in the board. Probably should have sanded the dings of but was too lazy.

I know I will be sore tomorrow - in fact I am tonight Wink

Ripper turn out...well done guys.

Sorry I couldn't back you up...I've had the wave kit in my car since Monday so I went down to Metts for a sesh in the waves.  Seriously thought about driving home to swap the gear for the speed kit, but I would have lost too much time.

So Peli Point is the go huh?

I would've thought Melville was flatter, but sounds like Peli had more pressure.  I'll check it out next time it's windy.

Being at both today I can say that Melville was a lot flatter but as I only did a few runs there for me it wasnt a lot faster. I'm still surprised I got a decent hour speed going upwind. I guess if I has spent a bit longer going back (and not had to keep avoiding big boats) that might have been faster.

Just looked closely at Nmile and I was still about 10seconds too short! Doh! Couldn't really go broad due to rolling chop. Must stay on speed longer!

Top team effort. Improved scores came from 4 different sailors! Great stuff.

Big day Jeff, and 4 Pbs!Laughing

Marcel you are going to be pushing the pointman for top speedster very soon. SurprisedCan't wait to race you at Hardies!

Well done on the ave PB, Chris. Go broad my son and speed will come. Your getting it.Wink

My broadest (but not fastest) run was about 110 degrees off the wind.

Well done guys.

Lao, isn't it surprising just how far a NM is!!! Especially in chop, think we've all been guilty of not going quite far enough.

Got a new set of adjustable NP lines, first time in them, felt great, Coolunlike the last set I purchased from another supplier/brand that I dont like at all.Frown

Anybody looking for a set of adjustable lines, I will gladly donate. Only a couple of sessions on them
