Tabou Manta 59, KA Koncept 6.6, Choco Speed Weed 26. Wind WSW 15-20 Lake George

Bit inconsistent today, too many lulls ! Love the Manta, and the Choco Speed Weed held in all day. chased some flater water way off the sailing line and paid the price of running out of water, had a 50m walk back to fin depth, was able to drag the rail out from there.

Great day again... Stuffed now...... Tongue out

2010 KA KONCEPT 7.3 IS A BEASTLaughing.  1st time on the new 2010 koncept and it rocks - heaps of grunt, stable and light in the hands.  Boggy lake seems to be carp free (touch wood) and the water level is good at the moment.  Great to be sailing at the home spot again - 4 - 5 k runs with some flat sections in the middle it is awesome.  The usual arvo breeze kicked in after lunch.  Decided to go for the hour and cruise rather than speed and it was great fun.  The sail looked and worked superb with fanatic falcon 89 and 35cm sl7.  I think i will be sailing at boggy alot this summer and should be good to get out there with speedboard.

Boggy 2 - 13 - 15 knots with some 18 knot gusts.

ISonic 94, Gaastra Vapor 6m,  Select SL31

Conditions today were just great; constant sea breeze of about 15 to 18knots, water level back up about 1m from recent rains, no carp in the deeper water, runs of about 4km on relatively flattish water.

Dave Mossop’s recent post inspired an attempt at the I hr average. The only downside was I forgot to turn my GPS back on for the second session. Must be getting old…!!!!!

Cheers Norman

well done on the Hour Norm. You all mention carp..... is it because there can be so many you hit them? Do they net the lake to get rid of them? Over in the Peel inlet we just have to avoid dolphins, rays the size of dining tables, crabs and cobblers (you do not see them, just feel the venom after they spike you!)

dave looks like you have had a sail every day at Beachport and found the flat weedy sections behind the islands, it should be really good there all summer. did you get your google pic from ka72.

Hi Evets,

The lake a month or so ago was full of carp.  A few of us rode there and 8 times one of us hit a carp.  These carp were big enough to stop your board and send you flyingSurprised - damage to board or bodies?  We have since heard they are paying professional fisherman so much per kilo - good for usLaughing.

Carl, are the Carp and introduced species, or native to Boggy?

We can send you a few coblers......  that will slow yas down a bit{#emotions_dlg.innocent}

Hi Crash bandicoot,

They are the standard run of the mill murray river carp.  Didn't see any yesterday so all is goodLaughing.  We just need to keep the lake with enough water to keep sailing and we all will be happySmile.

European Carp are a introduced pest it's illegal to return them to the water if you catch one.

yeah it was a good few days on the Lake, bit light today but i could have rigged bigger if not so tired.

used the overlay for KA speed reader, easy porgram to use.

covered most of the Middle Lake, found some flatish water, had a great time. would not like to see the water drop much more.

all the tracks !
