Inverloch - Waited around for a few hours in the morning as the wind went from pretty much nothing to 12-20 knots by late morning. Rigged the 6.5 Ezzy Freeride & Futura101 with MFC 34cm Liquid Pro. Low-ish tide with sandbar exposed so some reasonably nice runs in the gusts. Wind picked up to 20-30 knots by early afternoon. Higher tide and choppy water. Changed down to the 5.5m Ezzy Wave and Kode86 with 26cm Drake fin. Quite over powered in parts but managed a hour or so on the water before the wind increased even more.

Quite a few people on the water. Great day sailing with Jman, Drift, Ian, George, Megs and many more...

Inverloch- Westerly turning WSW up to 30 kts

A pretty amazing day , wind varied from being too much to not enough then back again.  A big tide meant the run was longer than usual.

Two things which made the day interesting:

1)  Early in the day, the was only George, Megs and I out and as a rain front approached, I took off on the run.  The rain front hit and I stayed ahead of it for about 250 metres and the wind it generated was awesome.  The front then overtook me and it was like a white out!  I couldn't see 5 metres ahead or beside me.  A bit freaky when the sandbar is only 2 metres away and youre travelling at 25knots.  Smile

This ended up being my fastest run of the day.

2)  I was flying down the run when I noticed it getting a bit too shallow for my liking so I went to gybe.  Half way round my harness hook got caught and I got flung..but here's the totally in explainable bit.  I managed to come totally out of the seat harness as I hit the water and when I surfaced and went over to the board the harness was still hooked into the harness line!

Evan,

Well done on the PB. Our George and I sailed at Mount Marth wiht some of the Bono boys for a big jumping session. The GPS stayed in the car as it was 5.3m going all the way past 4.2m weather. Got jump big jumps. Got ot love the new Quad. Yester we had a great 4-5hrs of Bump and Jump at Bono. Also some very big jumps with the Kode 94 and the 5.7m. One jump was about mast high.

Hey Drift, if that was in a movie no-one would believe it.  Never seen anyone get ejected from the harness before... that's one to tell the grandkids!

Excellent news on the 30 kts Evan.  Mick good to see those pbs still coming.  I would like to have seen the footage of you just in front of the storm front as it was hitting the speed strip.  The "oh shit" moment would have been just marvelous
