Chris Porter (11725km): ![]() Another fun session at Pt Walter. Went down for a cruise, but ended up thirsty for speed as the conditions were good again. 2nd day on the new sail, it rocks! Not quite as much in the gusts as yesterday. Jake was flying as per usual and pulling great numbers out from somewhere... which had Mark and I bamboozled. Awesome Pinna's effort all round. | Snake (23888km): Great sesh today! Started out at peli point about 4pm, rigged the ram 5.4 and sailed straight up to Pt Walter to meet up with Lao Shi. First thoughts were the wind was a bit light but the odd gusts were coming throught so persisteed with it. Chris joined the party a bit later and we managed to hook into a few of the good ones. Didn't really try and gybes today was too addicted to the speed but managed one goodish one, even though the tracks crossed over. Just got back to peli with 10 mins to spare before the wind died!! Great fun today So much for resting my legs today Mark haha!! Sonic 85, Ram 5.4, Goldwing 30
Pointman (30156km): ![]() Went to Pinnaroo today to do some ocean training in preparation for the South Beach Slalom. It was 20-25K when I arrived and got steadily stronger during the arvo. Solid 25K by the end of the sesh. Went large and rigged the 7.0 TR5 + 93 S-Type + 34 FO weedster. Bloody powered up to put it mildly. It was rough as guts so it was challenging hanging on to the 7.0. Sailed for just over an hour and by the end of the sesh I could barely hang on! Sent both of my GT-31's to Taiwan for repairs last week, so had to pull out my old GT-11. Data was garbage, hence the string of zeroes. Probably shouldn't even log the sesh, but I was feeling left out after missing yesterday, so I'm posting anyway for my personal records. Feeling pretty bloody pissed off with dodgy GPS technology right now Anyways...had a good sail. Had great board speed in the mad sea state, but had trouble sticking my gybes today, especially on the outside. Had so much board speed I kept skipping off the top of the chop. My numbers wouldn't have counted toward any scores, but I was keen to see how far I sailed and do a bit of post-mortem analysis on my gybes. As training for the South Beach event goes it was a good hit-out, and it was the first time I've used this combo at Pinnaroo. Sail-wise I probably needed to be on a 6.4 (Got a 2010 6.4 Koncept in the mail, so looking foward to trying that with the S-Type next decent blow). Well done to the Pinnas that went for speed at Wallyworld. Good to see the crew posting some solid numbers.

| lao shi (41082km): Pinnas North Sails squad outing at Wallyworld. Not too windy when i arrived so rigged the 6.3 warp but decided to try it on the nonose. Hooked in to a good gust early on for a 36.89 display. When the others arrived the wind seemed to have dropped. Later the wind picked up with some good bullets if you could catch them. Snake I am gobsmacked. 1m smaller sail and you not only kicked my arse but made it look easy in the process! Had three 33.58 10sec runs but with peaks of 35.36, 36.27 and 36.89. Weird! Chris was looking very comfy on his new toys and got me on the 5x10. Well done. Well at least I can take some solace at being alphaman. 6.3 warp, *brd nonose, 24cm banshee weedy. | ||||||||||||||||||
nebbian (8313km): ![]() Fun session at Peli. iSonic 94, Ezzy 5.0, C3 Venom 30. Found many variations on the theme of "come screaming in, head upwind, get round the mast... and fall in." Yes my tacks are woeful. But there's only one way to improve them... Good to see Snides, Snake and some non-internet addicted friends at the beach
