Tabour Rocket 140

North Warp 7.8

Tabou Freeride 48cm

Southerly wind around 10 to 15 knots.

Cruisy sail. Initially I rigged a 6.6m Loft 02 and 34cm Select fin but woefully underpowered and just grovelling.

Bit the bullet and rigged my biggest sail. Turned out for the best and got some cruisy runs on the plane. No great speed. Gusts pushed me on the plane and lulls dropped me off. A good sail all the same and the first for a long time. I don't think those invalid tracks count at all in my results.

I didn't see any other windsurfers out on Botany Bay on the way back. Only jet skies and kitersYell

Well done getting out Karl. I just couldn't face another day out in the rain.

The only real problem with the rain was the diminished visibility. A shower came through and through my sail I couldn't see to leeward more than a few meters. Before the shower I saw a skiff motoring along. In the rain I dropped off the plane and was worried the skiff would run over me. Those guys don't give a shit about starboard or overtaking giving way.

Karl your about the only one in NSW who sailed today in the GPSTC.

Great to see you sailing again. No wind up here all weekend. Just Rain on and off. All the rain coming down the coast from Olga.Cool

We sailed up at sunny Hawkes Nest with the dolphins. Bit light on Sun but Sat was good.
