I made it to Sandy Pt!!!! Couldn't believe my luck when I checked Windguru yesterday and saw a 20 knot WSW forecast. Yoyo comfirmed my excitement when he rang to make sure I was heading for The Pit.

I may have got moving a bit late and missed the best wind, but it was still a solid 20-25 most of the day with a few puffs over this. I met Pedro e who scored a PB of 39 knots probably just I was arriving. I also met Daffy and Matt from the Pit Crew. Plenty of guys out enjoying the conditions, and everyone was v friendly.

I got some advice from Slowy before I left, but despite my best efforts I still didn't do as well as I could have. All of my peaks were within a few seconds of me pulling up for the bank. Need to push on further and head deeper!!!

Wind was a bit west, put still beats anything we have in WA. Awesome place! I'll be back.

Did Jemma have a sail as well?  Might be the only backup you'll get for that sort of speed today Undecided

Good to meet you Chris. You should have hung out a bit longer though. The best wind was late when it swung WSW and peaked around 30 knots. Wink
