5621 days ago 2 categories Joined Dot and Mike out here again, this time I used the 6.0 and 23cm ado lockwood fin, nice conditions when we first went out, Dot tacked up to the gap with no problems. Didn't quite make the hour when it picked up, Dot had a struggle getting back and I was finding it a bit hairy, (for some reason forgot my boots, and was very sloppy in the footstraps), so decided to wait for an attempt on the 32kt open ocean.

Got down there thought I'd be sailing on my Pat Malone, was rigging up when this starnge vehicle turned up with and even stranger driver, Holy ship Hardz is back.
Went for an Hour again, well happy with the result, was a glorious sail only dropped one gybe, woo hoo
Now I've got to do some work

5621 days ago 1 categories Safety Bay. Isonic 96, 33 Choco Weedie, 7.7m Code Red.
Started early today. After yesterdays disappointment rigged like a slalom sailor (big and floppy). Turned out to be the right thing to do!!! Sailed open water in the sound all day pretty much. 96 iso used to be my only board and remembered why today, rock solid stable in reasonable swell.
Had 2 big crashes though and ended up with a decent hour (for open water anyway).
The red line is my NM. Bloody scary fast in swell.
