Beachport, Lake George, SA, AU  from the spit, ESE pretty constant 25,

F2 Missile, KA Koncept 5.8 then 5.0, 24 tectonics falcon F1.

had a blast after work the run was very broad today and the water has dropped some more as well, started on the 5.8 but just too hard to get back upwind changed to the 5.0 and was sweet could get back up the run without any walks, went for 3 nm's one on the 5.8 and 2 on the 5.0 the 5.0 was my pb and it still had a little upwind at the start, wind was very constant but just didn't have any big gusts to get a better 2sec. sailed the missile the whole time and was pleased to get a couple planing gybes even if they where a bit wide.

Surprised the weekend and early next week look like it will be smoking........

Jamie you are smoking - that is one great sailing spot in the right conditions- used to use that run years ago but much further from the bank when the edge of the weed defined the route - that was in the pre GPS era>>>>>Smile.

Its great to see the potential of the spot finally getting due recognition.

Wink Norm you are spot on, it sure isn't my skill but the spot I am sailing plus my new missile, been saying for ages after constantly running mid 30's on my freeride gear than any good speed setup would kill it here. the water has been the highest I can remember for many summers but is going down quick now, will be too low out the spit soon but will open up new weed beds on the middle lake where I previuosly have had my pb's in the march to may period. I still think there is a bit more avaliable for a nm here.

Smile I am very lucky to have good sailing spots in my backyard, going for a ride and check out lake eliza next week can remember sailing there 20 years ago and it was sweet then but very salty. it's the second lake going to robe just past bog lane. the next lake lake saint clare might be worth alook as well. cousin mike owns the land at eliza so access won't be a problem.

Yell someone left the gate open when I was coming out last Tuesday and there was cattle down the track to the 5 mile, took me 30 mins to round them back up and into uncle Kevs paddock, Frown made me too late for a counter meal at the pub, spewing.

PLEASE SHUT THE GATE  if going out to the spit.

hey nice work there Jamie! Lake George is a great spot to sail and camp. Do you still have to drive down that rock wall on the way in? I remember that being quite interesting in the van. Was well worth it.
