Cocos Islands. Day 2.

Saw a nice squall so put on a 1996 Dunkerbeck blue carbon 27cm that I had cleaned up for a speed fin, and ran the 6.3 Ram. Happy with the results as the water had some annoying rolling chop in parts. Best speeds for this sail size! Best speeds on the 27cm/6.3 combo

Sonic 85, Ram 6.3/CR 6.7, FO Weedster 28, "Steve Allen" 27cm

Jake, can you give us a summary of the wind and conditions over the time you were there?

Looks like you had some fun (more than us that's for sure) but the distances are short by your standards.

Anita, most days we spent around 2-3hrs on the water in 15-20kn...I just didn't strap the GPS on for most of it hence the low distances Tongue out. We had 8 days sailing out of 11 which is pretty normal up there. Sailing depends on the tides at cocos which means sometimes its morning sails, sometimes evening and sometimes both.
