5397 days ago Great sail at low head. Wind was a very consistant 20-25 on a dropping tide. As the tide dropped some flatter sections showed up but the water was very murky so the sand and rock bars were difficult to see. Very nervous NM runs trying to locate the shallow spots. The NM run starts in strong current with a confused chop but gets quite flat towards the middle and end (shown on image in red) The two yellow lines are the flattest sections as the tide drops with the top one having the best wind. The water there is about 2-3 ft deep at low tide getting shallower as you get closer to the shore. The isonic felt good but Im still a bit nervous on it. Started with a nitro 36 fin but it was too big so went to the 32venom which was a little small. Better put an order in for a 34. Ben did really well today spending most of the time sailing and starting to look more comfortable.
