Forecast was for NW so headed north from Hawks Nest to visit my grandma in Tuncurry. Took the scenic route and dropped into the Great Lakes Sailing Club for a sail. Pretty well powered on the 9.0 for a while but then it picked up, so dropped down to 7.5 and had a blast. Good to meet and sail with a few of the local guys. Weed was a problem earlier, but once the wind picked up the fin seemed able to slice through it.
First time to break 30 kts on the big board (250x78) - amazing what some really flat water can do! Great day, topped off by a coffee and some of grandmas biscuits!
