Fun sesh at Wallyworld East on a honking easterly.  Gusting to 25K+ and I was fully lit on the Futura 111 + 7.6 TR7 + 38 Sting.

Got down there 7ish and it was only me and Claude to start with, but there was soon a good crew in attendance.

Changed down to the 6.6 + 34 Talon for the last 10 or so kays, but it was dropping off by that stage and I needn't have bothered.

Best easterly this season for me, heaps of fun .

Finally on the board for the year. Went down to Peli on a dying wind half expecting to turn around and come home again. Wind looked better than expected but I was told it was lighter than it seemed, so out with the big gear again. After half rigging the 6.4 I decided the whitecaps suggested something smaller, so I put away the big gear and brought out my fave combo, with the weedy 'cos I'm out of the habit of using pointers. Glad I didn't go bigger! Coming back from Attadale it was all I could do to hold it all together in the chop. It was pretty lively out in the middle! Fairly consistent for an easterly. I don't think I came off the plane at all from Peli to Attadale and back (except for the gybe).

Nice to meet Glenno from the southsiders, also sailing in alien territory.
