5269 days ago 2 categories A short morning session in extreme conditions. Tomas Persson was over for two days to ratify the Monster, Monster L and the Godzilla for production. He loved the feel of all three proto's and we will now scan the boards and send the files to the Simmer factory.
One of our next steps is to start a PWA slalom range. As conditions were predicted to be really choppy we took and old van den Berg high wind speed slalomboard to check up on the rockerline for a potential high wind, big chop  PWA rocket.. It turned out the board rode like a dream in the nasty chop.
I also got a KA Race 5.5 to test. The sail is super stable, has got a pretty wide trimming range on the outhaul and is softer on the hands than I expected when checking the profile on the shore. It also seems pretty fast to say the least. The test was too short to give deep insight comment though, but that will come for sure if the weather stays like it is the coming weeks.
The Dutch news came over to cover the extreme weather. As holland was nearly flooded today because of the high wind and water levels  (if you beleived the radio) they wanted some positive news on people enjoying the bad weather. I gave it my best shot by going deep downwind over full chop, hook out and wait for a wave to crash on as I thought people will love the massive spray of my not so fit body (read big), but it turned out the cameraman was standing with his back to the water haha, so I nearly broke my neck in vein...
After that we went to the workshop in Hoorn  to finalize conversations with Tomas. All in all a great day. Oh and Serge wanted to show off by doing a forward on his speedboard. the first one want great and he landed two metres in front of me, but the second one he stuck the tip of the mast in the sand and broke it. You owe me a beer Serge for breaking my mast mate....
