Good session at Inverloch today with Jerry. I heard Jerry mention something about "this not being much fun" but he sailed with me until about 4pm so it can't have been too bad. High tide all day, plenty of that killer chop and 20-30 knots of wind made for an interesting session. Had a lot of fun on the twin fin. Not the fastest of boards, nor the quickest to plane but handled the conditions well.

2012 Evo (Carbon) 86. Half the session with the 16cm twin mfc fins & the other half with a Maui Ultra Fin wave 24cm single fin. Ezzy 4.7m PantherIII

Bumpy day on the inlet today with Evan, we sailed the whole time without a bank to work with so it was hard going.

Spent most of the day on the wave board and then a couple of runs later on the prokids.

Even when the tide droped a bit its just to shallow to go fast safely.

I didn't realise you jumped on the prokids Jerry. Did you go back out after I left? I wanted to sail longer but didn't think it wise if I wasn't home in time to feed the wife. Laughing

Nice going guys, its tough here at Invy at the moment. The sand movement has meant that its almost a high-mid tide only place now (except on a couple of directions) and the tides have been really fast, when it runs against the wind the water is going in all directions, especially the outer channels - really tough sailing. Disapointing about the strip, but we'll see what happens over the next few months, the bars are always moving and shifting.

Yeah Evan I came in when you did, had a chat with a couple of the southerly buster boys that were waiting for the tide to drop and then had a few more nervous runs over shallow water on the prokids.

Would have been nice to have seen a bit of flat water. But it's always a worry running over the lighter water there, I hear even the pro's come to grief on occasion! Wink. I do prefer the fuller tide.... but 30 knots kicks up just a tad too much chop.  No problem on the Evo and it's 16cm fins though, even sailing across the full length if the sandbar was fine but too shallow for the 24cm on some parts of it.  I had a great day, nice to end it with a beer.

Forecast looking a little better for the Breakwater now. Chance of a seabreeze maybe.
