5262 days ago Looked like my last chance to make the most of the mild weather as it's supposed to get really cold now for awhile :( and with the wind west and a 1 o clock high Levington was the only option. With my longboard being repaired I was hoping it was windy enough for my Xantos and 7.5 and with a reading of 18/20 mph and over 10 degrees rigged and decided to have a go. It was abit light to start with and as usual in the river gusty but managed to get planing and the sun even managed to show it's face :) The wind increased as the tide came in but sadly it then becomes choppy !!! I did get dumped in the middle of the river in a strong gust but then on my next run from Levington Marina made 29 kts near the far bank, one of my better speeds here :)
Then at high water I decided to pack up have some dinner in the van with Mag and go for a walk to Levington Creek, so not too bad a time for January.
