Quick blat at Peli, conditions weren't that good so I didn't stay out long. Nice to catch up with Pointman, Pugwash, Mineral and Lao.

F2 SX L,8.5 mtr O.D.,46cm Talon,

Went to Majestic first to find no wind,JJ,Nads and myself decided to head to Peli where it looked the only place on the river that was windy.

Gusty and choppy but always good to get a sail in

Yell Easterlies, either ya love em or hate em. Me, I hate the bloody things. Yell I was hoping for more South in it, but noooo, it was not real flash by the time I hit the water.

Think Patrick got the best of it today. He did say it was all over the shop and a gust would hit with nothing in it, and a second would hit with heaps. He was right on that account.

Ah well I got wet and reckoned a flounderd for 4 of those K's Laughing

Good to see a half dozen of the Northern Roo's out.Cool

Great to catch up with a lot of the team.

Went almost as quick on the longboard (thanks Toby)

Futura 101, Code Red 7m, Venom 42 then Mistral IMCO with the same sail.

Quite a relaxing sail with the longboard - it evens out the chop.

My tour de swan

launched at wallyworld east sailed up to peli said hi to a few freinds sailed back to wallyworld east then went actualy down to the bar was nice down there hoped on the other side of the bar for a bit to see if i could get down it no too square zig zagged to the end of the bar sailed back upwin to wally world east then sailed back over to peli then right across to the freeway then down wind into matilda bay to play with the 49ers and 18ft skiffs, then the insane trip home, upwind out of matilda bay and then 2 NM of insane washing machine chop plus lots more wind, downwind back to wallyworld east

not many km's considering but i feel like i've done 100

thought i had a better NM than that but then again there was never a time where a NM of readable chop or flat water and enough wind to be planingYell

alpha's could of been alot better but easterlies always feel so gutless especially on the exit of jybes

pretty rubbish peak but then again didn't really make any attempts

6.2 reflex, 57 mistral slalom, 30 jp sl

the soft 30 was much nicer today than my stiff 32 through the stupid chop

just need to be well powered up as its pretty small for the board

Pelican Point, WA, AU Big gear, Gusty 10 - 15 knots

12 km of light wind gybe practice, which was challenging given that one run would be planing (just) and the next only grovelling.

Best alpha was actually a tack!

Nice to get out on the water again and catch up with JJ, Scarrgo, Ricey, Macka Packa, and a bunch of Wannabees.

Peli Point.

One of those poxy holey easterlies that give easterlies a bad name Undecided

Futura 111 + 7.6 TR7 + 40 Sting.

Combo was OK in the gusts, just not many of them.

Nice to get wet, but disappointing it didn't crank after a week of stinking hot weather.

Ricey (11089km):

The easterly was stronger than I thought when I rigged the Turbo 7.5 on my Iso 122 - nearly got bounced off the water - that easterly chop plus boat wash was something else.

Changed to the Iso 101  and had more control: only crashed spectacularly two or threee times. Really should have changed down a sail size but did not have the energy by then. A wave board would also have been good.

Pelican Point, gusty easterly, gave me a reason to get out the LOC rig again. 120 iSonic and 7.2 KA Koncept. Was OK when planing but a bit of a struggle to get going in the lulls. Must learn how to pump sometime ! Nice to bump into a few of the team, slept in so was a late starter.

What a turn out - unplannedCool Good to meet some more of the team, and good to see some of the stayers... Captain, former captain!

SvelteLaughing Throwing off 10 kgs makes all the difference to sailing - sail sizes, board sizes, power, stamina etc etc...

Sailing was challenging, was underdone on 7.5 and board trim (and boat chop) made all the difference.  I can now plane through things on 7.5, I couldn't have got through on 8.5! Wind was really fragile, and any small disturbance was enough to upset it...

Sorry - no numbers, went out without the GPS, thinking I'd need to rig a bigger size, but stayed out...  Second outing was a mistakeLaughing

2007 Loft Blade 7.5 - still sweet... 2011 Carbon Art 66 cm, 108 l... second of third time on this board - if you are wondering, just buy one, two or three... there will be no regrets.  The 66 cm and 58 cm combo is awesome... I think I need a 53 cmSmileMoney mouth Oh, and some more finsSmileMoney mouth

Mark - I still have Greg's old Tabou Mantra - I find it to be quite sweet... maybe a few troubles with the length and width (short and wide).  Anyhow, if you are in need of a board, happy to lend it to you.  Volume is stated as 85 l, but I think it is more - at least 90 l... It is not that sinky, even with me on it! You could then put in a few more sessionsTongue out
