Wind from all points of the compass as per usual for Skippies

5 - 8 kts

Fun sail with Mick and Pete

Pulled out the Jet but after busting original mast and having problems with mast foot and tie on boom decided to run with new tech meeting old.  New age mast and clamp on boom with chinook base meets old tech displacement hull board.  Had a ball gliding around the Lake.  Even in the harness at times as we picked up speed to 10 kts.  Next I will have to fit foot straps!

LOCATION:  SKIPPIES

WIND:  N- <5KTS

GEAR:  SUPer 12'6, KA KOYOTE 8.2

DETAILS:  Lake cruising on longys with Naz and Old salty.

Quite pleasant and not as shifty as normal (perhaps due to the direction- straight North).  Just enough breeze to make it fun, and it was interesting to compare strengths/ weakness of each board (Wally VS Jet VS Sup).

Have to put down the 0.5 kt of 2 sec peak difference to the added weight from my all S/S fin box hanging out under the board with nuts and bolts

Yeah, blame the boardWink I had all that extra weight of the wetsuit to deal with.

These old boards are amazing when compared to modern stuff, not that much difference in light winds. Role on longboard challenge....Laughing
