Forgot the GPS remembered (vauguely) how to rig the wave kit

Purely a gloat post, Furken awesome quick little wave session with Decrep in between chasing down parts for my sons car.

All of Decrep's and Hardies age old advice came and firmly lodged in my head today with wave gybing, all text book, they've only been trying to help me since I started wave sailing, today it gelled, Thanks guysCool

Decrep was oiut there doing his usual thing of making it look easy, although as I was packing saw him go down out of the corner of my eye and couldn't for the life of me figure out why, must have been a whaleSurprised

Fun session, Smug mode engagedCool

Safety Bay

Iso 76, 7.0 Reflex II & CR 6.1, Delta Speed 25_Delta Speed Weed 23_LE 27 Weed

Spent the morning tuning, cam spacing my Reflex II 7.0. Got it tweeked nice and rotating really well. Rolled up at the beaver at 2ish. 18knts blowing, great tide. Sailed for about 45 mins and the bottom cam wouldn't rotate. Think it was the decal on the mast. That put a stop to my alpha mission. Sailed around, but over powered. Good to meet Grumpy on the bar.

Went in pondering whether to rig smaller, and a bit angry with the cam probs. Rigged 6.1 and did a few Pengo's NM runs which put a smile back on my faceSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmile. Better wind and conditions than yestarday.

Yes great fun Elmo, you were looking good. I felt a out of touch, haven't done much wave sailing this season.

Some things came together well at times others they didn't. Had a couple of waves where almost everything came together, had a ripper with a downed rider right in my path, went way out around him, but came back a bit too aggressively and stuffed it at the lip.

going back out got half tangled in a kiters lines, he was very apologetic, but if he'd been looking it wouldn't have happened.

Guess its karma, for almost cleaning up a kiter at Safety Bay yesterday.

That was a nice swell, spewing that I had to cut it short, crossed paths with Derek on his way out, there did seem to be a few holes on the inside tonight with the Southerly.

Need more wave sessions, if they're  like that one, even better

hard call strop, but this time waves definitely won, they've missed out too much recently.

head high in the sets, wind about 18, just 3 of us on the 3rd break, apart from the odd kiter that occasionally made it all the way through.

2nd break was a bit bigger in the sets, but much more crowded. Not sure about the point, might have been the better option in hindsight.
