Nice sunny day, but little wind until  later afternoon. Had several good runs at Gidget's Run and finally got planing. Very pleasant day with great company, as always (thanks guys!). 135L X-cite and Simon's 8.5 cammed Ezzy sail (thanks Simon).

Yep, What Rob said.

8.5 Ezzy Infinity on the 150L Techno

Late run on Gidgets before the wind skunked and turned Easterly. Just what you need when you are so far west of the Angling Club.

Sailed it back anyway!

Wally. Tried it without the centre board for one run. Found that I could go directly into the wind, had to sink the entire nose up to the mast to bear it off. Then had my own fountain where the centre case hole is. WOW, you pay heaps for them in the garden centers!

LOCATION:  ANGLING CUB TO GIDGETTS

WIND: SE- <10KTS

GEAR:  Sup, KA KOYOTE 8.3

DETAILS:  Arvo session after running some mentor lessons.  Nice light breeze.  Followed Kato out the old Inlet mouth and into the new one.  There was some decent size swell out the back but the SUP was great in the way it picks up even the smallest ripple.

Cut a few laps from the Angling Club up to the mouth...and it looked like it was going to come come up enough to switch down to the CA.  I headed back to the carpark but as I sailed back the breeze tended Easterly.  Game over!

For a minute Na i was thinking of another fountain. If you can do that while windsurfing I'll be very impressed!

Sounds like you all had a great day. Once things settle down I hope to get back into windsurfing.

I'd love to come down for an arvo session at Aspendale next time.

Simon, good to hear you had a decent run anyway. I saw that the wind had turned easterly, but at least you had the tide with you at the time. Daniel came along very quickly - from struggling with the uphaul, to sailing to and from the pier!   Rob

Another use for the centreboard hole. Maybe Drift can include that in the RPS longboard challenge???
