Safety Bay, WA, AU

fun 1st sail (beaver virgin) at the beaver

great to catch up with the local crew as well as some ring ins.

mistral 47/evo5 5.8/23 lockwood then 26

the 23 had some sideways moments just like my stack at shark bay so i

changed to the 26 (on slowys recommendation-cheers mate) and this made all the difference

kicking my self i didnt think of using it in sharbayYell

could of been on a 6.4 and using weight but was enjoying it too much to come in and change.

decided to call it quits at dusk...feeding time!Surprised

busy beaver today! After a woodies mission early GPS-free with spotty for some chopper video action, Greg declared there was 30kts on his wind meter at SB so we fuelled up and headed down for round 2. Was a bit light when we got there but I was optimistic so rigged the 5.5m/41/20 combo again and did a bunch of barely going runs on that. Was hitting 38s but no gas for more. Came in and rigged 6.4/SP55/CL26 and had some nice runs on that- a bit more powered but same speeds. Then it came in and I got a 40 (3rd fastest run for the day), so switched back to the small setup for a heap of 40s. Fun till feeding time :)

Melville. JJ the only thing i'm a guru of at the moment is crashing breaking things ,swimming and walkingFrown, survived the wild middle of the river nm attempt only to cavetate catch a rail and crash in the smoother water up wind breaking my mast resulting in a half hr swim into the wind to shore then hr walk of shame back to the carpark.Looking on the bright side I did not find any stingrays or cobbler.

Nice work Chris, you looked like you were smoking along at the end there Cool

I think I'll have to follow your lead and have my SP47 on standby next time.  I think I might have milked a little more top end out of the smaller board after it filled in.

John, I thought the old Falcon 32 was cavitation proof Surprised

I wondered what had happened to you - couldn't see you, but I left figuring I wouldn't be much help if you had busted something...

I hope you had the impact vest on so didn't aggravate anything.
