Arrived early at the spot (ard 08u45). Danny was an early bird as well ;-) Finally some wind, flat water and descent temperatures. Wind was on and off and it wasn't easy to choose the gear. Went for my slalom board instead of my speedboard and the 6.3 (smallest sail on the water today, but probably the lightest one as well ;-)). Most were with 7 or 7.8m²

In the morning we were only with 4 people on the water. Nobody stopped smiling all day long !! So nice, not even cold. The spot was very nice, but the wind was quite gusty (normal with southerly winds...). Nice to see the big guys blasting down the strip with there 7.8 (later even a 8.6 on the water !!) and +100L boards while my 6.3 was sometimes more then enough !! Definetely need some power training, or more surf sessions ;-) because my muscle power is way below zero... I can't even initiate a gybe with right in front (no strength at all in my right arm/wrist). Started to do some runs with my damaged wrist under hand and I can hold it for a 10 sec run but not for a 500m run. It just needs time. So lucky to be on the water that soon.

The course was nicely broad, but my 6.3 was often too small to keep it going once you are downwind along the shore. Nevertheless enjoyed every single second on the water with André, Pat and Danny. Later Alex and some other guys joined us.

The F51 should have been faster in the gusts, but that's the was it is for everybody. Give Danny or Pat a 80-90L board and their speeds would have been much higher !! A bit more volume during winter time is always welcome ;-)

Think Pat had a PR today on his 500m crawl :-P saving a kitebuggy that was floating in the water and thereafter swimming back with his gear after a broken mast joint.

Big fun and can't wait for the next session !!

first session of the year. First sesion with the board and sail.   I wanted to be on the wather.

It was super, it wasn't that cold.  I still had to trim a lot, board and sail were great, good control.

Thanx to all the other guys for this nice day and to watch over me after the bad luck.<img alt=
