Lake Tinaroo, QLD, AU   The dam was it's gustiest worst today.    Can't recall when it was worse. I'd be just wallowing and then get hit with a

shoulder tearing gust for a few seconds and then back to nothing.   In the gusts I could not hold onto the 6.6m Loft 02.   Decided to go in

and have a bite and maybe try a smaller sail, but changed my mind and pulled the pin.  Not much fun.

Kurrimine beach. Naish FW 120, Ezzy ∞7.0, MFC 34

Got sailing about an hour before low tide, wind was fairly consistent gusting to 12 - 15, water was reasonably flat and hoping for a nice session to get rid of some dust. Heard forecast on the way down and it was for winds to ease in the arvo, they got that right. STill nice to be out finally.

Herby. Good to see you out on the fresh stuff again but sure you would have had a better sail at Kurri. today.

Hey Firie, loved the vid from Burrum and noted no one passed you. So they must of all heard you then and nice bit of speed run rage.Surprised

Holloways Beach, QLD, AU  - 104 Screamer that wasnt sreaming & 6.2 SW Revo Tape Package

Youve all had those times....when frustration and an absolute need takes hold....and at the the end you think to your self, why did I bother. Well I had one of those days today. The forecast promised so much this weekend. I was itching to get at it yesterday (Sat) but apart from in between rain squalls it was all just a let down. Woke this morning to sunshine, trees bending and thought "You bloody ripper, Its on today" Got past my morning routine and headed to the beach only to discover periods of rain squalls interspersed with lots of nothingness. Freddy came down for chat and between us it was decided that we would be much better going home for lunch...but like a dog with a bone I headed back to the beach after lunch and discovered to my delight that the breeze had filled in some what from a few hours ago. Rang Freddy, rigged up and headed out. Took a while to get to the wind line proper, but when there had a blast, happy days. Hit a squall and got launched over the bars, not much you can do when nature has revenge. Decided to head in towards the beach and thats where it all went pear shape. Wind died out to nothing and still, I'd say,  2k's from shore. So began the swim, more swimming and more swimming...I hate swimming. Managed to finally get going again when the next squall came thru, but ended up down the beach somewhat, so to top it all off, a walk home as well. Big thankyou to Fred for the company, the day would have not been the same without your company - Thankyou.

its been a while since i strapped the old gps on

nice arvo fang down at Leighton beach with a few of the boys drag racing each other.

was on 6.6 koncept and mistral sl93 34 volt fin combo felt pretty sweet just needed some more wind and less patchy wind was just under a 30knot ten second for a couple of runs.

Glad you're back on the water herby!

Are you suffering from post Lake George syndrome? I can imagine you are with conditions like that on your first time back out.

Firie what a great idea!!!! We look forward to that, but technically it'll be my front yard.
