Wind never really strong enough for this combo but I persisted with it as the 7.8 is getting repaired.  Lots of wobbling at times interspersed with some nice little runs but never really lit.  No wind in close either but beautiful day to be on the water.

day started off cold and drisslly but turned into quite a good day but wind was ordinary.

Few there today including Eddy,Herby,Hoppy and Hans.

Green Island, Kode 94, 5.3 Gator.

Fun day at the island even though Cam tried his best to get me out on the fast gear. Best sail I have had for a long time, will have to use the bump and jump stuff more often

Thanks to Toody for the hire gear yesterday and today, heaps easier than carting gear on the plane..

Fun little warm up session before going to the Island tomorrow.

Rigged the 6.7 and 107 as the wind was a bit on and off when i was rigging up, could have used the 90 and a 6.0 at times but was having too much fun on the bigger board to change down.

Used Isonic 107 Overdrive 6.7 and C3 sting 38

Gear ISO 80 venom 32 RSR EVO5 6.4 then tried the Vector Delta 25 (again worked really well with this combo )

Finally got to try the new 6.4-sweet sail with heaps of power but the perenial cam rotation thump hasnt been fixed ...to be fair probably should have been on the 7m2 but rigged for the predicted wind ( usual story )

Very chopped up on arrival but the water smoothed off beautifully around 1215 as the tide retreated .Most of the late runs ended with weed wraps so finished to morning session in a peeved state of mind .

Waited for the low tide & Northern Run to start working but it never really happened today -tide didnt drop enough to get things happening out there .

Fingers crossed for tomorrow ...

Well Hans survived his 80th birthday party so there was a fair rollup at the dam today and it looked that there may be some good sessions.   I rigged the 6.6m Loft 02 and went out on the  JP 78 Slalom.    Got a gust straight away and then had to dog around for almost an hour when another gust came thru and lasted for a couple of minutes.    Sometimes, (quite often in fact) that's how it is at Tinaroo.   My Navi went cold on me so had to rely on Garmin.   .

Only one out today with similar conditions to yesterday. Planing comfotably but that was all. Went up to the 420 fin which I thought would have been too big for the Naish, but allowed the board to be pumped onto the plane and ridden off the back foot. Rain shower came through and everything dropped out, but still good to be out. Might pull out the vintage 90's slalom board and the 7.5 next time.
