Lake Tinaroo, QLD, AU   Signs of wind dam all morning, but I was too late and missed it.

If we are having a cyclone, I must have been in the eye.    Still a pleasant arvo...Cool/Innocent

First time I've ever gone out to only do Nm's for a putsch on the Autumn Cup.  Wind was a little stronger than weekend but still had some big holes in it.  Really pushed it doing about 6 nm runs and then having to punch it hard back up wind to get back to starting spot at the mid rocks.  Wind got stronger right on dark and had a hairy run trying to navigate the chop but think this may be my 28+kn nm.  Really happy with my numbers all round especially my hour considering I stopped to adjust the footstraps.

Hang on Firie....Thats my story from yesterday Frown  So far, it would seem that the only lads to end the month on a good note are going to be Cam, Kel, Gaz and possibly Toody, although he had to sit and watch the pro's go at it yesterday from the beach. It's has to kick in soon, surely. I see the bloomin teabaggers made the front page of the Cairns Post today...although they did seem to winging that the wind on Saturday was to strong at 20knts....Cry Poor buggers, i'm not feeling the love, thats for sure.

Nice open-ocean NM Sausage - it's really satisfying isn't it, holding it all together to achieve a fast NM in the swell Cool

JJ,

Thanks and yes it is very satisfying indeed.  Have nailed a few 29+kn and one 30kn Nm here which was by far the hardest thing I've ever done on a board. Firie always says "eyes as big as dinner plates"and by extension my theory is that  the size of your eyeballs is indirectly proportional to the size of your sphincter Wink

Great session Snags!! Hope you can back it up with another one tomorrow. I will be able to sneak out for an Hr and chase the Nm, even if i have to swim to the wind line!

Nice one Herb, might be a lot stronger tomorrow!
