Happy Valley, QLD, AU  Decided to go for an ocean sail this morning been ages since I sailed here was a chilly 16 degrees but water was very clear and not too cold. Had a few runs with Rob then a few of the local wave crew showed up.  Very typical WSW to SW wind up and down. Fairly rough out wide for not that much wind.  Wave kit would have been heaps more fun than slalom, might be time to get another wave board.

Hi Kelly. Chilly 16 C, that's funny. Are you & other ladies heading up to Green Island for the Nats in June. It'd great to meet you guys & play those games called Slalom & Freesail. I'm heading up, can't wait to sail in the tropics with the turtles.

No sorry Kazza I can't make it this year. Maybe next year. Make sure you don't hit one of those turtles it can cause some mayhem. I look forward to hearing your results. I hope you get some great wind.

No unfortunately not going Karen.  Would really love to but said I wouldnt go there again and not take the kids so we have booked for the whole family to go to Cairns in October and only because we got the Jetstar buy one ticket get one free deal so the kids are flying for free.

I don't know of any other girls that are going from Qld, hope you are not the only one there so they can run a womens division.  

Yep had to put on my 3mm steamer today wind was very cold (for here anyway) was only 6 C this morning when I got up.  It still does get cold in SEQ but will be beautiful and balmy on Green Island.

I nearlly headed up there today...Did you use KA72 ? was going to look at the overlay.

Found it, you stayed over the Kings beach side more than I expected.

Kellie - I've been up North Qld in October, dead calm every day. Fantastic for diving & snorkling though.
