Canton Beach, NSW, AU 10-20kts 5.8m KA Kult + 125ltre Tabou Rocket - 30cms weedie - then 4.8m with 95ltres 21cms Makani freemove fin not enough except with gusts so 5.8m with 95ltre Tabou Rocket 21cms makani freemove fin.

Rain squall came through and wind veered 90 degrees so I was heading straight out into the middle overpowered and in the big chop..Couldn't see a B thing as glasses got rain all over.. Scary lol'ss.. emergency exit and stuffed them down my PFD.. Much better I can at least see now!  B icey cold water even with a 3-4 5mm wettie + helmet - PB for distance but I think I will suffer tomorrow..c 11.30 - 2.45pm

Been told I need to bear off heaps more..

Canton Beach, NSW, AU                JP /SL 70 . Tr8/ 7.6 , 33 cm custom weedy.

Filled in nicely after everyone left , Mick and I had a good half hour session going on dark .

The tr8 has way more top end speed than my old code red .

Good one Sue. Well done on the PBs and getting out there today. It felt like a winters day today so it would have been cold in the lake.

Great speed Greg. Not much wind up here today, think you made the right decision sailing there. It was so on/ off at queens, planing then not planing etc.

Thanks Karl. It was... brr! I jumped off in the deep water and my head went under.. even with a helmet on it was B freezing! Even standing in the water adjusating my harness was cold. Don't know how I used to sail in winter without the ultra warm wettie! And it will get even colder from now on..

Today is the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year. So as the days get longer they should get warmer. Anyway colder weather usually means windier weather.

Is this weather normal for this time of year? We  seem to be getting low pressure troughs turning into East Coast lows..I thought we usually have SW fronts coming through at this time of year?( dropping snow)
