First run on the new board today, couldnt get in the groove. just didnt feel balanced. Sail probably bit underdone for downhaul outhaul, played with them a lot due to gusty conditions.

Board felt like it would go harder but I was too tame to let it go, new straps stretching after being wet for a while didnt help board control.

Spent a lot of time fiddling around with mast posi, adjusting straps and sail etc as you do with new gear.Gusty choppy conditions won the day, once tide turned fin was spinning out on occasions.Too lazy to change. Need to fine tune strap positions for more board control in chop.

Over all frustrating day but board feels like has good speed, and points high upwind with ease. Just need time to fine tune to get in the groove.

Was great to catch up again guys as well as Cathy and Linda.

Nice speed Alfamale and Jas,will also catch u at Burrum.

Will ring you Billy.

Cant wait for next time.

Great results guys. I went to Victoria Point but cannot open/download the file. I accidentaly pulled the memory card from GPS while it was still on. Now it doesn't want to load to KA-72. I think because the file wasn't closed properly via GPS. Any help guys or is the file useless now?

Do you have Realspeed George? You could possibly use that and manually input the data.

No Martin, I have a GPS Results V6 and it doesn't open the file either. But now I've got the idea. File should be still in the GPS internal memory so I'll try to load it on the disk as a new file, that should work.

What a shame I missed that catapult, that would make me laugh. Actualy I know when it happened, when all the guys started to surf the magic wave resulting from you masive catapult.... all the way to beach, haha.

Maybe some of you Gold Coasters could be sailing in the gold coast team and not elswhere, would help the team ship loads.

Food for thought and meant in good spirits.

Cheers

George put your card back into the GPS and got to the Data logger menu and press save to card you can then upload to KA72 or GPS results. (you must have worked this out)

Congrats to all the pb'ers from the GCST

Also just a reminder to those who are going to Burrum Windfest early bird registration ends on Friday 28 Feb after that the entry fees will increase. link here http://www.windwanderers.org.au/Events/BurrumWindfest/OnlineEntryFees.aspx
