Melville first sail in almost a month ,had 4 pm meeting so did the early shift an good it was.

Melville. M137 6.4m CLSL3-36. First sail in almost 3 weeks. Nearly didnt go out because 7.0m and 7.8 are in hospital so had to use 6.4m. Was really marginal by the time I got on the water and most people barely planing even on 7.8s but figured there might be a few gusts like earlier to come. Did 2 runs barely planing for a max of 27kts. Then a front came through and I got a nice one for a 37kt 10sec and 38.99 on the dial. Yeeehar. Got a few short squirts and the wind died. Had to count a 29kt 10 sec in the av... NM had a gybe. One sick run and it was worth getting wet.
