Smashing numbers for 3.5 hours work Laughing Hoppy called with 20knot northerly I had 13-15 home, So call my daughter & ditched the Chook Shed building I had planned, Loaded the gear & hit the road. It was a bit light but Jeff was talking it up nearly rigged 6.6 with jeff, but got talked into rig big! Surprised Made the right call cant remember the last time I rigged the KA Race 7.9 for that matter cant remember the last time I sailed the CA Slalom 101. Jeff hit the water & was on the plane & scooting, I was right behind him with a bit of a slow start then hit the wind line & off nice crusing. Got a few nice runs in & decided that there was more wind in close, Jeff headded out to the deep blue younder, it was when the forcast 20 + was due to & we both got be calmed I made it back to shore with a bit of a walk as I could not keep the board above water, shudda used a bigger board!  hoppy too 45m longer , so I packed up the board & had the beer ready Tongue out.  Jeff finally arrived & before we could crack the top of a beer up came the white capps headding our way, Hoppy hit the water & was off I got the board back out & joined hime for the best 15m of the day before it fizzled out to bugger all, Hoppy was straight back to shore not wanting a repeat drifter. I was right behind him. Was one of those teaser days when just a bit more would have been super! Jeff did a cracker job on the 6.6.

Stansbury, SA, AU Northerly  13-0 knots

Fanatic Falcon 102, GPS 6.6, 34(28) BP weedy

Got exited mid morning when the breeze outside seemed windsurfing-worthy. Called me buddy and said 20 knots blowing here Richard, lets go! Got there midday with little wind and rigged big. Headed out and just got on the plane only to drop off shortly after as the wind was fickle. It remained that way for the whole session, just teasing us. Went out about 3 km searching, only for the wind to die completely and soon fell in and floated over to the oyster patch. That 7.76 NM is flattering because most of the session was spent sailing back in at about 1 knot.

Still it was great fun and the bottle of strange beer Richard gave me felt like 4 lightsSmile.

Unexpected cruise today.  Wasn't sure we'd get a ride today with differing forecasts but PJ cranked around for a hour while we watched in amazement and ended up heading out for a cruise with stronger wind than seen on the shore.  Gusty at times but a fun sesh.

Boggy lake - 12 - 15 knots.

Fanatic Falcon 113 / 7.3 Hot Sails GPS / Black Project R425.

Drifted around some till wind kicked in whilst talking with Carl and Sam. Went out filled enough to do reasonable hour then become lighter require a drift back in.

Sam's day comprised of various  equipment failures. Ouch:-(

Had a fun day all things considered. Got  on  the water after talking a little crap with carl. Not long into it broke my base in a moinor stack  miles from shore. Spent a good halfa in the water till a new base got brought out for me. Cheers pj. By the the wind had dropped so went in. Then reaslised my pack was full of water and my gps had stopped and was full of water too. Dried it out and now seems to be working not sure for how long though. Cheers for your help also carl good numbers guys.

Nice to hear you lads got out.  I was considering on Sunday breaking out the gear to kick-start the second half season (haven't had TOW since April!) but ultimately the middling Northerly forecast discouraged me.  Soon my pretties, soon...

Surprised the gps might be alright Sam I dropped mine in lake georgein january and it sank to the bottom and sat on the weed before I could grab it (will never take it out of the bag to adjust settings when on the water again) just rinsed it a bit and sat it on the dash to dry in the windscreen heat, touch wood has been fine since have used it on my pushie rides to give it a run every week.

.Wink  at least boggys fresh water.

Frown did you break the extension or the uni.
