Lunny (42007km): Melville Beach, WA, AU Very Gusty Day. I'm trying to think of something really postitive to say but eerrr.....nahh nothing still gusty. Was good when it was on, but then it was off On a brighter note i briefly got to try the Mistral 91, very nice board. Straight away noticed how it loves to maintain its speed through a gybe. Cant wait for some decent wind to try it again. Quite a good number there for a weekday. At least we got out on the water, thats always positive Severne OD 7.5, RRD xfire 102, Mistral 91, Tabou Rocket 135. ( 3 boards, yep gusty)
AC1 (2412km): Melville Beach, WA, AU Got to Melville at 3.30 to see everyone standing aound or packing up because the wind had gone. Decided to rig up anyway, and about 4.30 the wind came back 112 Xfire, 7.0 overdrive, 32 FO weedy
JJ (25827km): Melville Beach, WA On the water at 2.30pm, 15 to 18 knots (gusty & gutless). The wind almost disappeared from 2.30 to 4 then came back briefly to 18 knots at 5pm. Had a few nice drags with Allan at the end. Good to have a chat with the crew and nice and warm. Mistral 112, GPS 7.3, CL SW 31
GS (4113km): Melville, Wohooo - bring it on! Started with Furtura 101, OD 6.5, the Futura 101 & CR7.0. First time I feel comfortable on the Futura.
lao shi (41082km): Last day of Northern wave trip and everyone headed home. Arrived at the car park to find it empty! A first! 2-30 saw some serious whale action out the back. Swell looked to be coming up a little but total flat patches at times and super shallow. Eventually rigged up and an hour and a half of Ivan and I picking off little waves with the whole place to ourselves! Some really fun rides despite the very weak conditions. Eventually the car park filled up and others came out including Sharaf. Became quite busy and the swell became inconsistent so called it quits. I confirmed Gaerial! Watched Ricky charging despite the light wind again! S1 5.9, Rider quad 100 |
