I anticipated that the wind would come in so I rigged the 6.6. Regretted that decision in the first hour but when the wind came in it was perfect. Could have swapped to the 101 but the bigger board was handling the chop well. All the boys went in and left me as the lone sailor.
Really enjoyed Pete helping that kite surfer. Chris and I were crying we were laughing that much I thought I had it on video but user error meant that I missed it. Couldn't post it anyway as it had too much colourful language in it.

Got down to water and mast snapped while I was putting on my harness, luckily no damage to sail (was using last years 5.8 sail anyway just in case!) Thanks to Mark for the loan of his Ezzy 400 rdm meant I could get a few runs in, but by then wind wasy getting very gusty and swinging more NNW? Fairly rusty on the f2 speed board been a while since I have been out on it but lots of fun to be on the smaller kit for a change in some good strong bullets of wind!

One of those great days. A good solid NNE, sparkling water, and my favourite gear. Heaps of big waves out the back and was able to string together stacks of good, smooth planing gybes. Getting a bit too windy by the end for the 6.5 and should have changed to something smaller earlier on. The 6.5 is an easy sail to hang onto though so I stuck with it.
Had a go on Ulf's Magic Ride 111 - what a nice board!
