Tabou Rocket Wide 108L, NP RSR E6 6.4m, Elmo SS 38cm

Huge congrats to Franga for a craphouse full of PB'sCoolCoolCoolCoolCoolCool

The one's and zero's were flying around the web putting foward that an hour was the go for today so after work made the muppet attempt.

Got down there to find the wind fair honkinSurprised in comparison to what we normally get so I went exploring and dug out the 6.4, started my run after 5 to find it was fairly windy and that Huey went a bit crazy with the Lumpy GoodnessSurprised fur coats it was full on ,Scotty was yelling "Cap'n, the chicken legs they just canny handle this level of punishment".

First run back was getting quite a bit of air time which was ok till I hit one decent sized ramp which gave me a decent sized jump only to land it just in front of the next ramp which launched everything (and me) Skyward where upon after a bit of freckle excersize I landed (crashed) backwards into the next wave.

Was very physical belting around, unfortunately the problem with the late runs is that the wind does tend to drop out which is what it did with about 15 to go, it took all my muppetism to keep the gear gliding at times.

Glad to have come up with a reasonable hour considering the last qtr.

I've come to the conclusion that like all good things it is possible to OD on Lumpy Goodness so much so that I must resemble John Merrick at the moment

Looks like Pas and I made the wrong descision to do our hour at Liptons, seems Fangys would have been better!

Started to rig about 1430, wind wasn't real strong, so went for the 5.8 on the 53 with with the 20cm 50deg. This rig felt OK but I was spinning out in the chop in the boat channel. Wind kept picking up through the hour, so after I'd finished the hour attempt, changed to the 48cm board with Keiths small 45deg 17cm weedy, but only got a few runs in before the wind started to drop again.

Pleased with this fin, held in better in the chop than the 20 in the 53. Didn't seem to have any more drag in the weed, but the weed was fairly light and about 15cm under water.

      Peel, Lipptons,  WA, AU.

Was hoping for some good speed over an hour,  but a bit too much copp in the chanel and too shalow and weedy in the smooth for the

other fin. Had a couple of offs in the shallows, and chipped a tooth trying to jybe. Face first into the boom, not very taisty, too much salt.

Anyway, enough said about that....       Frown

Let's just cut to the chase;  Fantabulous Top Ten Fangy Day!!

Have to go and sort out snotgobblers, but will post so more when they are in bed.

Some days the holes in the cheese align. They are brilliant. Even more brilliant went you are not really expecting them. I dusted off the F2 bumpandjumplog and tek screwed a Delta18 and a Koncept6.6 to complete the package.

I have spent too much time with the muppet man and so in 18 -20 knots I was only just happy with the power. Last summer I would have been pooping bricks. But such is the power of the Red Furbag I am now doing Jeremy Clarkson impersonations on a lot of my downhills… “ MORE POWER!!!” I yell to no one in particular. Mainly because I was on my Pat Malone.

I was on a mission to get a sail in before kid duties. I worked up to the Boundary Island weed bank working on my gybes. I was a bit surprised about the hour PB because it was so full of gybes. The power of the muppet was strong, I nailed all my gybes today. All the inside ones I planed out of, the ones in the chop were not so elegant, more functional.
I mucked around up at the Island for a bit, but as the wind filled a bit I noticed the outside run at Fangy’s was open for business.
Yeeeehaarghh! It was sensational! So smooth, so fast. Soooo much fun.

Just one of those days when everything I did worked and worked so well. The Lego Movie was front and foremost and ‘Everything  is Awesome’ stuck on a loop, singing to myself at full bore. Absolutely stoked. Well and truly a TOP TEN FANGY DAY!!

Amazing session Fangy! Isn't it surprising how well things can go when there are no Pinnaroos around to hex your gear, but a pity no-one else was there to share your excitement.

And hardly a simile or a metaphor in your whole post. Another record!

CONGRATULATIONS X4!!!!

Dolfin - it's a good thing you have plenty of dentists in your team! I hope they give team discounts!

Franga, what a top ten Fangy session.  4 very impressive PBs.  Well done mate.

That's a pretty good GPS5 score too: 140.58 (accumulative of the 5 categories bar distance)

Snags, thanks mate. GPS5 - I didn't know of this, but now that I have a 'good' one I think it that it is a very important category. I probably should go out and get a T shirt made up :-)

Basil, i just got a piece of Muppet wisdom from the great Furbag himself - 'Todays PB is tomorrows benchmark...' It's almost depressing when Elmo is right isn't it?

Lol!  Laughing It is amazing that you and Pas are next to each other, and a couple of your other mates close too...

That must say something about the conditions you sail in.
