Pelican Point, WA, AU

This one is just for Peter Mac!Tongue out

1 hour of racing across the swan moghul fields dodging stinkboats, yachts and dinghys between Peli and the South side of the river.

Mr Boat has done a fantastic job with this board. Every other board I have owned would have spat me off a few times today but the Mistral 91 just kept motoring through some completely mental chop!Laughing Worked nicely with my favourite 32 Goldwing fin.

On a mission to back up the Snakey one but could not get away so went to probably the worst place to try and sail an hour on a Saturday arvo! It was certainly a challenge!

Good to catch up with Macka.

Leighton Beach, WA

Super stoked - been trying since I started speed sailing 4 years ago to get a 30NM at Leighton.

First run off the beach I went for it, got airborne a couple of times in the bigger than usual swell but managed to get the small fin back into play.

Saw a 33 at the end of the run and thought I'd just missed a 30 NM - turned out my GPS was on 10sec.

Stoked. Means more to me than the NM PB yesterday Cool

So nice out there today, crystal clear and steady 22 knots - Norts and I had it to ourselves Laughing

Called it early as my back is a bit out from yesterday's crash.

Melville Beach, WA, AU 105 Rocket, 31 weed, 6.6 Severne. It was a bit scary in the shallows, then yachts, kiters and real crowd. Good to see so many faces. For a while I was sure I could do a better speed if I beared away at the right spot, it did not seem safe thought.

Fangland. Quick visit as left it a tad late. Was good fun, and good to run into some of our team mates, (been too long, cos I is slackInnocent)

Hardie showed for a seagull check out (quick look roundSmile) then buggered orf. Good to see him and his keenness tempered so he will sail only when the planets line up. Cool

Was one of those set up days when not sure what to plug in. So pulled Hellcat 7.5 then Loft 7.4 and finally settled on the Loft 6.6

Suffering old mans disease with crook lower back, so no kamikaze stuff for a while Undecided

115 Rocket, with Delta 23. It came a tad loose in the box in the end, probably from me clouting it at end of each run to get the whipper snipped weed off the front jointFrown

One of the mobbers showed me what to do with some Kneedit to take up the front weed slot for future reference. Cool

All in all it was only a short session, but sailing over that flat water is addictive each runCool

Fangville, WA, AU. This week has just been the best that I can remember.

Great lightish conditions today probably 18-20 and plenty of space. Just cruised out the back into the channel where there were some great tail-slapping runs to be had. No flat water out there but it was refreshing to know that I could still sail the lumpy stuff. Rigged for 20-25 but it never happened so was pretty underjuiced to be honest. Made for some good efficiency practise and was probably just what the doctor ordered.

Actually found it really more-ish flying through the middle channel and riding the chop lines. Nice to give that skillset a workout again. Really great to stretch out after yesterdays battering too.

Nice to meet Barry and catch up with a bunch of crew who I haven't seen in a while.

Thanks heaps for the backup, Mark! What a great weekend swan hour  Cool

Rigged a 5.3 hoping that the wind would get stronger but unfortunately, today, it didn't happen. Bring on some more strong winds - what a great week of sailing it's been. :)

Coodanup, WA, AU 85 Sonic, 5.7K, 17 delta

Got out of work before dark, and my christmas party cancelled so I had time for a sail. Yay!

It didn't sound like anyone was going to backup Jake so I thought I'd better show some support and go for an hour myself. It was great fun. Only my second best hour but the gybes were better than either of the previous ones. The wind direction meant the runs were shortish. Great to catch up with Jake, Geoff, Mineral and some of the CST and Mandurah mobs.

Top 5 results for alpha, nm & hr and just short of a top 5 distance. It is amazing how often I stop at 28nm at Fangys. That's three times now. Disappointed not to get an alpha PB but I was concentrating on the hour not  the gybes - I only dropped two after my first one (which I always mess up) and they were at the choppy end. Made most of the tacks too!

Edit - just checked my alphas on realspeed - I did heaps that were better than my PB, lot s of 17's and one 17.9 , but at 60 or 70 m proximity. Obviously I need to tighten them up a bit.

Definitely a top ten fangtastic day!

Melville Beach, WA, AU

Could not get comfortable today, with gusty winds and shallow coverage over the bar.

Still, it was wind and sun and a chat with JJ and his awsome 35+ nm yesterday - slightly faster than my best 2 sec!

Melville Beach, WA, AU - 7.0 then 6.0 overdrive, 90 Xfire and 29 speedweed

I was planning a bit of a losener after Friday as I had a few aches and pains from my little crash, both wrists were really sore from holding the boom as the other side hit deck in 4" of water. The gusty wind at Melville wasnt exactly what the doctor ordered though and this morning I have even more achesFrown

Congraulations Mark, JJ, and Snake another top performanceSmile

Great work on the hour Mark and Jake! Mark, a 22 knot hour in the Peli chop and Christmas boat traffic is quite something. Jake, 24.5 in the deep whilst underpowered is most impressive. Geoff kept going for anhour despite recovering from illness and scored a handy 18 too. Good work, team! Glad my hour wasn't needed.

Congratulations on the Leighton 30 knot nm JJ. To be honest I thought you could do a 30 nm anywhere...
