Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU               CA/50 , KA race 6.3 and 7.1 , vector weed speed 23 , delta 18

Smoking when i got there at 6 am , getting readings of solid 25 gusting to 32 , went out on 6,3 and wanted to try my brand new vector ,

Hit the flat water in a good gust and dragged the fin along the bottom and trashed it . back in to get the delta 18 , super shallow and a mission to get going . by then the wind had eased and had a few mildly powered runs . Then it died completley and had about a 1 km walk and swim back in . YAY , that was fun

15-22kts SSw Buff Pt Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU

 4.8m hucker , 79ltre Falcon + 19cm delta

Got there and Greg & Hugh out flying and then nothing..?? realised too shallow so they had stopped and walking the gear up. Blowing over 20kts so rigged the 4.8m. By the time I was ready to go out could have used the 6m but went out for an hour. Ok in the gusts but not enough of them or powered up much for bearaways.

Really tired yawning all the way down so found sailing hard work. Came in and rigged the 6m but by the time up in the flats it had had it.. Put the rear footstrap as forward as possible and mast foot further back and felt more comfortable but a bit underpowered today.

Falcon certainly has less drag than my other boards.. should be able to use smaller sails on it and still get going.Did an Andrew today - could have gone larger gear at the end but love the FF too much!Wink

Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU    Well...well..James, l will not listen to you again!  You said something about doing some PBs today??? Ah, you meant in the morning???...sorry, stupid me!    Well, l hardly got planning!....absolutely amazed at getting 24 knots?!?!? l could hardly make it back to the beach due to lack of wind. Mind you using the small 58 sonic and 6.7m wasnt any help!....hahaha....

Wow Greg,  great speed!Surprised

I thought I was keen getting there at 7.30am!

Glad you had a decent few runs earlier as it didn't look much fun for you when I was there.

Boy it had swung around a lot by the time you got there which wouldn't help either..

There seems to be a trend here the  earlier the sail the better the times Wink
