Naish 95l all terrain, 4.7 RAF Jet.

Not the best choice of board for the day, but still a lot of fun.

Coodanup, WA, AU   Bendy's CA40, Decrepit's 19cm Weedy, Tush 5.8

Great day sailing at Fangland. Speed runs were through the outer weed bank in thigh deep water but still flat.  Small but manageable chop elsewhere.

Big thanks to Ben and Mike for lending me their gear. It was great a combo, rock solid & very confidence inspiring.  My gybes were pretty ordinary, I need to improve my rig transition when sailing such a narrow board

Supa dupa pleased to crack 40kts, with the gear I was using and the water conditions it felt pretty comfortable SmileSmileSmile

   Peel Coodanup, WA, AU.

A bit of fun with some new faces, & some sceary moments as the board almost tookof with me on it, after some

ajustments things setteled.  Went with Decrepits 48 board, the Avi 4.7 sail, and the supaweedy 17cm 50rck.

   Oh,.. Mike, the footstraps!!!!!Laughing

Great fun at Liptons with heaps of crew. The 5.6m was spot on in the gusts but they were small and it was hard to stitch two together. All good though as any day you get a Four and  Zero displayed on the GPS screen is a good dayCool

Another fun session on the outside bank, alphas with Paul and Fin, and speed with stretch, (watch this space)

(and note you doubters, the outside bank is waist deep, I've now come off in several spots, and always been in waist deep water, you just have to watch the boundary Island channel bank, it does get shallow in there, if you try to get up wind too far on the inside.)

Had some great fun practicing alphas, gybing in the dead smooth stuff at the western end.

Used the 43 with the 18cm 50deg weedy again, started off about 1100 with the 5.0, and changed down to the 4.4 mid afternoon, but wind didn't pick up as much as expected, could probably have hung on to the 5.0, but it was getting a tad too exciting for this old dude.

Getting the hang of gybing the little board, replacing the worn out footstraps that have bits of foam hanging off them may help. (Please remind me Fin)

Nice to see windex and snides turn up. Looked like snides had found some smooth as the wind died towards the end.

EDIT Just checked with KA72 and numbers are better, so guess what, I've gone with them. I'll also boot the laptop up and check with real speed, just to make sure I'm not cheating too much!

Here's a close up of the outer weed bank, with alpha and speed tracks.

Look again Keef, I just edited it to the KA72 figures! Doesn't feel as good as it did when I had the seperation set to 75m, that gave me 25.5!, must admit a bit of dissapointment when it said 24.9 at 50m.

Paul, starting to build up to some decent sessions, I bet you are sore today! Ben as you said, any day with a 40 on the dial is a good day for sure. Cap'n nice session with a 25 knot alpha to boot! And finally Basil, new kit and didn't kill yourself, still, I would have liked to see the dismount at the end of your routine. :-)
