Coal Point, NSW, AU

I had to decide by 11am what I would do, graphs looked bad at Norah, A bit better at Nobbies but maybe not so good for Marmong. So I went to Coalie & it was surprisingly good. CASL70, 7.5, 42 fin. Some nice runs from sand islands to Coalie through the chop were probably faster than the few runs at the islands where it was crowded with boats & some weed.

Good to get back out on the water after the shark sighting yesterday.

Sailed all the way up to Marmong and back, not a shark to be seen.

Bonnells Bay, NSW, AU TR9 7.6 rs2, v max 33.

sailed flat out for 2 hours from 4 30 to 6 30 and did 75km.

I sailed at shingle spliters then to point woolsten croft then worked all the way up the lake to the sand islands.

My fastes speed was in the chop where the wind was there was no flat water today. There was at the sand islans but only did 2 runs and not much wind.

was risky doing this on only a 90l board as wind started to back off big time wasnt much left buy the time i got back down the lake to shingles.

JP Formula 100 Severne Replex 3 8.6

Not heaps of breeze but that 8.6 had me going as fast as I have ever gone on that board.

EVeryone else except Mick had 11 metres. This power to weight ratio thing will take some thinking about.

Great afternoon of formula racing at the club.   Surprised to see Andrew on his marathon from Coal Point, although looks like it was just one long broad reach.

GEE thats a good looking bloke Andrew. Looks like me but I never fall in!

Your legs must have burned at the end of that run back from marmong in 1 tack.

I didn't see any sharks either, but I was a bout to gybe at the sand island when I saw some fishy, jumping disturbance going on. Cancelled that gybe & went a bit further. maybe the fish were excited by my beautiful gybing or maybe they were being chased by something.  I didn't fall on that gybe.

Laughing For a second I believed the photo Andrew.. Just a sec..Wink

You're lucky Bruce.. If I thought I saw something fishy I'd be sure to fall on top of it..Wink..Good that you had a nice sail at Coal.

Great tracks Andrew and trips from both you and Byron..

Interesting it's a long haul from Shingle Splitters to the sand islands and back but it works out about your normal distance for a session..Surprised Next  time it's armchair sailing weather with the big gear I'd like to try for Marmong or a long trip.. Always worried the wind will change and head me or die for the trip back though..

Might try for one this week in the mod ESE.
