Lake George, SA, AU

91 slalom, 5.2 Hellcat, 22 MXR

SENSATIONAL spot.  I can't imagine how awesome it must be at its best.  Arrived at 3 and had an awesome cruisey intro to the Lake.  TWO gybes for first time on this board - WOOHOO!!  They were NOT pretty but they were dry Wink

The awesome expertise and company is worth the 1800km regardless of the sailing.  I could happily just sit around and talk windsurfing crap all day Cool

HUGE THANKS to the Pit Crew for their help and advice today!  And to the Cremasters for their light entertainment.  They might be a half decent team if they can pull off that big recruiting deal... Wink

Lake George, SA, AU

After a day off, we came back to sail expecting the same as usual, but we had a more marginal and lighter wind. Rigged a bit too small to start as a result, and had two sessions. SSE -S 12-18k dropped to 12-15k.A few more new faces about. Met up with Glynn, and Andy from sunny QLD and Danny and Rod, the local guys who have been very helpful with tips on the lake and wind conditions.

Pete, Rob, Chris, Bill and Anton out again. A bit cooler today with a bit of a sprinkle of rain.93,11.5,5.5, then 79,27,6.6.

Sorry, but no pics yet. Not the best of days for photos with cloud and lighter winds.

Lake George, SA, AU. A lighter day and still good fun. Rigged too small but had some great runs. A long slog back wallowing in the mud as the wind backed off. Thanks to Rob and pete for help with getting my gear to shore.

Drove 11hrs on Sat, 7.5hrs on Sunday, got into Beachport round 230pm, at the LAke by 3. In the rush to get to the lake I left my GPS units on the cabin table....DOH. Used the day as an orientation day, and it was liberating anyway to just be sailing and taking it all in, and not checking the gps for stats.

It was hard to tell how windy it is from the bank as the water state is flatter than what we are used to at home. Rigged 6.3 2015 KA Race with input from Daffy and also pumped Spotti for tips when he was rigging his 7.1 Race. I went out with the Falcon 79, and really it was way too light but I could plane in the gusts as it was soooo flat (compared to home), but not lit. Came in and plugged in the 113 and that was more fun as was planning all the time. It was bumpier in the middle as anticipated (but still nowhere near as bad as the middle of Queens Lake) and then massive sheets of glass (the size of a footy field) pop up closer to the cockies carpark. Reminded me of some of the lightwind days where video was shot at Budgie recently. Everytime I got to the glass I backed off waiting for the power/gust to stop but it didn't. Not even board chatter, nuthin, just hear the wind. Gybes are super messed up timing wise because the water is so flat on the inside that gybing happens so much faster than at home....will figure it out in a couple of days on the water.

2015 6.3 KA Race is a sweet sail, rigged nice straight out of the bag. Lots of 2015 KA on the lake, hard to tell who is who from a distance with the one colour combo.

Bloody cold. Springy and thermal rash shirt was not enough. Steamer from now on.

Sailed with Nicole, Red, Roh, Jimbob, Sammy, Daffy, Spotti, MAtt and they were just the ones that I had met, there were a whole bunch of others.

EDIT: Just saw your two PBs Nicole, well done, and more to come
