The windiest day so far. measured 24-25 gusting to 30kts at Cockies before going back to %mile to rig at about 2pm.

A fun speed day on the 5mile run. Got a couple of nice gusts! second run had a 43.1 peak which was a PB for Port tack. After a few more 40 peak runs came i for a quick rest and a drink. After that I got another nice gust of the day and a 44.37 peak! Yeeeharrr! New LG PB Peak, and on Port tack too!

Mat was trying to talk me into going over the other side but there was not way I was leaving the possibility of another 44 peak.

Then he was saying lets get the tandem speed board. After mug=ch dicussion of the tactical possibiliteies about not getting stauck out in the middle we decided on a plan to sail accross the Lake and do a speed run down the cockies side. If we couldnt get it started to come back, Mat would sail it back solo and bring a car to get me. As it happens we didn't need to do that and managed to sail it staright back the the 5mile. It was quite disappointing to only have a low 31 peak and 10 sec average. Just not powered up enough as the wind had started to fade. Good practice and training though.

Back home tomorrow. Sad to leave the place and all the great people here, but I'll be back!

Tandem run was on the old early '90's Speed Tandem. 8'8" long and 20" wide. Didn't get it into it's sweet spot. It needs 30+ wind and 30+ kts speed to get it balanced on the water.

We didn't sail the Big Starboard Gemini at all, but it made a handy platform anchored out in the deeper water for the guys when they made the 25hr distance attempt. It was loaded with food and water!
