Nice arvo session. 2 sails in 1 week!!! What is happening with the wind (shh global warming)

Bit choppy early as the tide was still going out. Unfortunately as it got low the wind dropped off a little.

Had a ball today!  Haven't felt the love with my slalom gear for some time, so i'm ditching it for fun gear.  I had a ball today going for heli tacks, body drags, duck gybes - didnt pull many off, but had a great time.  I could be sticking with this stuff all summer.

Went for an explore up the inlet and out into the surf on the Pt Smyth side.  It was a bit spooky out there today.  Big swell, onshore, dark water, wasnt clean & fun just big walls of white water rolling in.  Needless to say just one run out there, gybed in front of a big wall thinking "dont fall off, dont fall off, dont fall off.... i didnt.

Used Canmore 102 as GT31 is F'd.  Didnt have it set up right as today was first use.  Had it on 5 second logging so really only distance will be correct today, the tracks look very jagged.  None of my results will be jelly bean worthy on freestyle/wave gear so it doesnt matter.

Great arvo session ,good to the old team on the water , not bad for early in the season

  big thanks to Kempster for a lend of a fin , went out under dun 

  Isonic 101 NCX 7;5 ,25 weedy (then 35 upright thanks mate ) 

Sandy Point, Shallow Inlet of course. Straight line great with rig 6.5, fin too big at 35? wind 16 to 20, pk 23 at times, sail may have been better tuned, moved mast back towards end, but wind decreasing. Really have to work on jibing ability with the big sails, a 5 is ok, but...planing out properlyy would increase the hour/500m/naut mile I reckon, ah well. new wind meter agrees with met station, obviously best idea of the day from weather pic, odd data  after 1300, but moved it down to start of course and could not bother to fix data gathering rate as wanted to be on the water!! weird I could hold the sail up, another guy was not doing too bad with old slalom board and fin with a 5m sail, wondering whether i was over
doing it really.
