Once the rain cleared and the sun came out it was all good.

Plenty down Nigel,Artur,Ric,George.More banter than sailing.

Water was like a forest,so many tree branches floating just under the water line.Hit the first and went over the front big time.

Hit another later and sheared one fin bolt luckily the other one held but bent badly, fortunately did not lose the fin.

All in all a good day.

Great fun out there in today with George, Artur, John and Rick. Very rough and sailing on the edge at times... man, 27 felt super fast in waist high chop. I'm really lovin sailing Botany on Southerlies. And there was plenty of carnage... Rick went MIA at the runway for 20 minutes or so. Artur went over the front at full speed. George snapped a boom. John ripped a fin out. Fun times!!

Late session at St George sailing club... it seams I missed the best winds as the guys coming in were on 6's, but I ended up using my 7.7.

At first I was on my IS90L and VMAX 31cm, which was fine, but a bit small for the lulls, so I switched to the IS121L and MASSIVE 52cm Drake. It seems this fin is not meant to go 30kts! On one run, at about 28Kts the fin was lifting/flying nicely, then a small chop gave me a tiny bit of extra air, and all of a sudden the board was flipping and I was staring at the sky... I thank Barry for some solid construction, the TRX survived me landing on it with no tears in the monofilm!

Good to see some familiar faces after travelling to Perth for the LOC. G'day Ken, Roar, Tim, Anthony, and a new one: Till.

Roar, nice speed! Definately missed the best wind, well done.

Remi, congrats on the distance PB, shame I couldn't make it to the GPS challenge :(

George, enjoy the break

Nigel, with that much carnage, I'll stick to the river! Mind you I still did 2 catapults!

Congratulation Remi !

John an incredibly fast mile in those conditions, how did you do it?

Berowne, please cut 4 cm off your fin or you'll kill yourself, if you want I can rebox it for you

Well done Remi on your distance pb in race conditions and congratulations on your GPS series placing. Very impressive performance indeed.

Excellent turnout for the regulars in the DD team. Glad only minor repairs to kit is required and not to person considering the conditions. You blokes seem to have all the fun!
