Pelican Point, WA, AU 8.6 Turbo 133L Bic techno 40cm FO Fusion

Arrived early due to commitments for tonght, took out the big guns and was pleasently powered up as the session went on. Towards the end would have been more comfortable on the 6.5 and 95L but it was good fun all in all great conditions. Everyone who was out was having a great time! As I came in to de-rig Ricey arrived so passed over the bayonet and let someone with more experience go for it.

Safety Bay, WA, AU 5.7K M91 with 28FO weedy then M41 with 23 Elmo weedy

A bit of a lonely session at Safety Bay without my teammates, but Sammy kept me company.

Thought I'd try a few gybes with the M91 before I got tired. I was really too overpowered to gybe well but obviously I managed one alpha at least.

Changed to the M41 once I gave up on gybing and tried some speed runs. Not very successful there. Could not get the stars (read kites) to align, and the lead up to the run was pretty rough and hard to get settled. Probably should have been on the M47 and tribal fin, but it looked really weedy near the shore so I went with my old faithful Elmo weedy. The 41 was nice in the swells and the chop on the run was not noticeable at all.

Not a top 10 Safety Bay day, but a good workout.

Melville Beach, WA, AU

Good wind for Melville. Quite consistent so decided to try for an hour. Rigged big and realised sail was fully powered so went for an hour and anything else to keep from getting bored. All up a great day for Melville conditions.

Pinnaroo Point, WA, AU I started with different old boom, new harness lines and a chest harness. Chest harness did not agree with me and I went back to sit harness. It felt like one of those keep on adjusting days but once I was moving for 20 minutes it stopped bothering me. It was fun exploring with Geoff, looking for a treasure of flat water around but the only treasure I got was finding my sun glasses 20 m upwind 2km from shore near Little Island. I swam for the red strap they had and got them knotted better after. Best Pinnaroo Point day this year for me. I will feel it in the body tomorrow. Tabou Rocket 105, 31 weed, Gastra remedy 6.

Watermans , 5.8 ezzy wave panther, kombat 79l. water slides, bouncy castles today. good fun for a change. A bit off/on at times but 5.8 was enough to carry through the lulls. Had to wait one run for a bird to catch a fish, didnt feel right to get in its way until it had got it. in less than knee deep water (little channel of white water on the beach). love seeing that sort of stuff. few others there and a couple of kiters. dont know why im always rigging alone and as soon as I hit the water others show up.

Nice one Vince and captain. I'll have to invest in another weedy so I can sail SF. Vince - don't let the cat out of the bag about PBs. I've been feeling like a hero since joiningWink

Very nice numbers all round Flatchat. That is an excellent session, and you have helped to lift us off the bottom of the rankings ladder. 6 Jellybeans! You are a hero! Well done!

Whoo hoo! we have another hour sailor! JJ will be pleased...

The PB thing is rather addictive. It is one of the great things about this competition which makes us try harder and keep improving.

Ross, sounds good. How many litres is it? Was planning to head south of the Mason-Dixon on Sunday but now it now looks like we are in for another blast of heat. :(
