Teralba, NSW, AU

RS3 and maui 6.6m

Probably 10 kts most of the time with brief periods of 0 and even briefer periods of 20+

A couple of fully powered up runs and a lot of bobbing about. Glad I was on the RS3 not the RS2.

Gert, John, Mick and Tony out.

Teralba, NSW, AU NW 5-20 Knts.

RS2 and an old plastic slot fin,..just had to give it a go. A few sailors there to not enjoy the conditions. my sail combo was totally wrong today as the wind appeared to be strong between the gusts.

I was contemplating going to Teralba, sort of glad I didn't but also should have gone. So is it no good there in a NW breeze?

I almost went but not keen on using the 90 ltre and getting stuck out there waiting for a puff.Maybe next time.Good speed Andrew. For those that went to Budgy were the flats sailable in that direction?

I would say that generally Marmong/Teralba is the best place to sail a NW. Other parts of the lake may be windier at times, but on average Marmong is the best spot. It becomes less good as the wind goes more westerly. I believe the fastest Lake Mac session was at Marmong.

It is fine this time of year April/May but during June/July/August it can be desperately cold when stuck out in the middle with no wind. Soft folk like me then head done to Budgy.

Peel st is fantastic in a really strong NW - definetly worth the trip if its 25+
