Rye, VIC, AU

Again I have no idea why I went to Rye, if I ever suggest it again please somebody shoot me.  Not that windy and it was cranking at the city end of the Bay.  Tide right in so rough as guts.  I did not have the mojo to push it today, too scary for me in that mess.

Tried a Tribal Weed speed for the first time, probably not the conditions to really test it but it felt pretty fast.  Definitely not as much lift as an upright fin so would take some getting used to.

KA GPS 64 proto,  2016 Koncept 5.8 ( was too smallmost of the time)  Tribal Weed speed 31

Rye, KaRace 6.3, ML's_KaGPS64 & Mi'SL112,  Tribal SL38,   Wind came in later than expected so was the usual BnJ chopfest.  Still the usual long runs to be had with only a few quirts of wind where the 6.3 just wanted to keep haulin ass whilst mine clenchedYell trying to deal with the chop sueyLaughing

The 6.3 did really well to keep us going when the wind backed off at times sweet as sail for sure.   Did a few runs on Martins board and it's definately held its own in the chop at full tilt with a couple of 31's. should be a rocket when it's gets on the flat given it's few outings so far.

Ha...Spotti we dissapeared to different ends of the beach and didn't sail together at all yet our peak speed is only 0.05 of a knot different. Freaky!!  Your arse clenching obviously superior to mine, maybe the younger knees, mine are still aching. You could hold it for more than 10 seconds in the washing machine.

You look at the speeds and they look lame as but doing 30 plus in that is way harder and scarier than trying to do mid 40's on a speed course.

It was good to watch somebody sail the new board, it looked trimmed really nicely on the water, pity not more wind at that point, you would have smashed it!!
