Green Island, QLD, AU  'Yer.'. GI turned on its charm for us today..Good wind, good sailing conditions and even better company..Had 97lt Isonic with burnt out 6.6m north rig powered up and honking most of the day with 36cm venom fin...Water started to get a bit to low for me later in the day so i quit while i still had a fin attached to my board..The drag strip was unreal all morning.. Then i played out the front after lunch..Had a heap of fun playing in the waves out wide were the 'big sharks' swim, not that fast but good fun with north rig flattened out..Couldn't keep up to Kel and Cam on there speed gear..Bindi looked great all day and i was surprised how much she has improved since i saw her sail last.Good to see some 'Girl Power' on the water..Billy and Conner had a great bonding session and did some very good sailing ,could not catch Billy when he was wound up and going hard..They both went home shagged but happy..Had a few goes at trying to get a 20kt Alpha in the flat water in close..But didn't get ..All in the name of 'FUN'...Cheers ED..

Green Island, QLD, AU

Post sail posting. Mother nature turned in on yesterday out at GI. First indication was turning up at the jetty and the wind sock was perfectly horizontal...nice 20 knts. Full tide, allowing access to the entire reef flat for 70% of the day. Was it going to get better....well yes indeed.

Headed over with my eldest son Conner, Ed, Kel, Bindi (& offspring), Cam and Catherine (& offsprung - singular!!), with a view to just enjoying each others company. Con has irreguarly shown interest in the sport, and when he's had the energy and patience, has enjoyed himself. Yesterday however, was indeed a milestone. I still cant wipe the smile from his dial. Set up Hoppybobs Aerotech 4.7 Wave Savage, cranked down hard and a 129 Missy Screamer (2009), he had a ball. Nice long planning runs, 400m offshore - in 20 kn, without a harness. Needlees to say, he was complaining of sore shoulders last night. Apparently we are now booked in to go to Gi every weekend.

Ed was on fire yesterday. Even bought out his newer, faster GPS. Must have done the job mate. He was pumped. Great k's, cracked 30 on the top speed run which was a pleasure to watch. It was the most comfortable he looked for a long time. Really enjoyed watching him sail.

The two Guns, well it has been said before. Well done guys, leading from the front again. Bindi, it was a pleasure conversing with you and watching your improvement. Huge congrats on the PB's.

Couldnt have asked for a better day. Really enjoyed time with the stinky love child, didnt sail a whole lot, didnt quite crack 30 but was well and truly shagged by the time we got the boat home.

used iS90, 6.5 T4, 36 "not the Venom, the other one" - borrowed of Kel.

Great write ups Ed and Billy (again) and bugger all in the speeds. Top day by the looks...

Dr. Billy...you may have created a monster...Connerstein!! ....but good to see Conner is enjoying it.

Kam and Cel....or is that Kel and Cam.....great efforts again and with Ed's distance numbers looks

like something you'd find on taxi odometer.

Bindi....congratulations on the PB's and keep em coming.
