Falcon 112 RSS 7.8 Venom 36

On-off day at Teralba (is there any other kind of day at Teralba?). Got on the water early with Steve. Struggled in the chop early but did flatten out a bit over the day as the wind came and went. Plenty of frustrated boys on the water but those that hung around for long enough would haev got at least a good half hour or so.

Nice to get out on the water but very frustrating westerly. Wind swung round to the south and completely died so I packed up. Of course the wind came back as soon as the wetsuit was off!!

Teralba, NSW, AU - I spent more time at Teralba than anyone else BUT by my numbers you can tell how keen i was (not) I think the Formula yesterday drained me. Good to see heaps rock up, bad to see half of them not sailing Cry

NW, looked like 7.7, then 7, finally rigged 6.6 but it seemed to die & I thought I had stuffed up. In fact that sail was spot on & had quite a nice sail, some lulls but lots of windy periods. RS3, 6.6, 19MUF. Larkoo, Pugs, Wayne, Greg K, Greg F, Gareth from Newcastle & Mick & others going out on arvo shift as I was leaving. Heaps of flat & big weed clumps that gave you a tug as you went through.

Exocet RS6, TR8 7.6, Vmax 51 - Wind W 5-20 knots

First sail for August!  Good afternoon with a stack of people on shore and a few braving the gusts on the water.   Went out on the RS4 at the start and was submarining in the lulls.  Swapped to the bigger RS6 and wind came in pretty solidly.  Found a flat patch in close to shore and cracked the 30.  Tried again with the RS4 but couldnt better the speed.   Happy to get 30 and almost a 20 alpha on the big board.

Lyds, - Walshy and Byron may be great sailors but neither of them can talk about windsurfing as well as you can. You were seeking out new people to talk to today like Byron was seeking out gusts. Don't be so hard on yourself. You cant do it all!

Thanks Jeff, I'm sure your right, I just crunched the numbers like an NRL game and my stats read like this - Rigging / unrigging / rigging / unrigging 8%, actual sailing 6%, talking, giving guidance, talking, eating, drinking cups of tea and more talking 86% Tongue out

Lyds.. the Milsy of Lake Mac..( talking / socialising wise..Wink ).

I went in the Northshore yachts regatta and managed to stand and brace myself at 45 degrees using my bum leg to helm so I'm happy..

Long way off sailboarding though..I need a speed sail to reduce my competitive side..Embarassed. I gave the crew hell.. headsail on . off. on a bit off.etc etc .Embarassed paid off though as 2nd over the line  in the last race..
