Skunked, unfiortunately the wind looked a lot stronger than what is was, bugger.

Too cold to get out for the early session, so missed the best part of that. When Iarrived at Fangys, measured 18kt gusts with 15kt average, so plugged the 6.3 race into the 53 with the 26cm 45d weedy, this combo works well except I had to keep out of the shallows, no big deal there's no smooth there anyway. First run was OK, then it slowly dropped off, went in for lunch to sit the lull out, and was joined by Stretch, Evets and 'ken. By 1330 Stretch Fangy and I had enough sitting around, so went back out. Groveled around for a bit more than an hour then the seabreeze kicked in, sun was still out and it had warmed up. So the three of us had a pleasant cruise around for another hour, when it started to die off again. I was the silly sucker who left his run back too late and had to do all the way from Creery Island to the Nairns carpark.

Coodanup, WA, AU. Falcon113/Tushy7.6, Delta24. Did the run up to Fangy's, but I seemed to have brought the Bunbury wind shadow with me . After sitting around for a while Ross, Mike and I hit the water anyway and for once it came in. Light wind but still very enjoyable

I got to down to Nairns at sparrows. Well on a very cool Sunday morning, any time before lunch qualifies as sparrows. I joined Capn Calm for a splash. Party barge and Koncept 8.5 was the weapon of choice. We had a few good runs on the SE before it shuffled off to bed. That was about the time that Stretch turned up. Then Evets and 'Ken to complete the knitting circle. The Capn set about murdering some innocent vegetables for lunch, I set about defrosting and Stretch set about procrastinating.
In the sunshine my blubber soon got to hot, so I wandered back out for a glass bottom boat tour of the area. There is a disturbing amount of sand and not much weed growth. I don't know if this is due to a lack of sunshine, too cold, or lots of sediment from the increased river flow, or Donald Trump, but for sure, at this stage of the calendar, there is bugger all growth. Fingers crossed for the next month or two.
Eventually, probably because I was sailing so well in the 5 knots of breeze, the other two wandered out to join me. And after some further wafting, the seabreeze turned up on put in a light but enjoyable effort for an hour or so. Brilliant to be out there again and of course a Top Ten Fangy day

Nice quiet Sunday morning sail. Lovely and sunny and wind coming and going. Was nice to get my new f2 out for the first time and get to try it in varying wind.
