Marine Parade, Southport, QLD, AU

F2 Vento, Ezzy Lion 6.5,

Got there too late as I was searching for a park within a bulls roar and the wind was falling out as I rigged. Bugger! Annnnnyway, thought I'd have an exploratory plod across the Broadwater. Got on the plane once and once only. Swimming seagulls were overtaking me. Got out and back twice, slowly,  without getting wet despite the lumpiness. Good to meet MacroScien, George and Emma. Water was a good temperature and absolutely crab free.Laughing Tomorrow I'll be there early.

Albany, WA, AU Harding rd . jp 121 , np evo 5 7.0 , 24 delta . It's been a long 3 months since my last sail due to my op . I have earnt some brownie points over that time . So today was time to cash some in . After the long 600 meters drive to harding rd . Morts was all ready rigging . wind about 13 to 17 knots with a very low tide and the sun was shining . Had a great sail had to retire due to arm pump and a bit unfit . but great to be back in  the water Cool

Harding Rd, Albany, WA, AU

6.2 Koncept, Sonic 56W, Delta 19cm & then Loft Sails Switchblade 6.8m

Firstly many thanks to Steve who though his sacrifice of having to do his work shutdown this weekend practically guaranteed we would get wind sometime this weekend. To pay you back I think I have one day next month where I won't be working at the weekend so it should howl for most of Novembers weekends Wink

It was fantastic to see Shane back on the water so I had someone to enjoy the afternoon with. Still faster than me after 3 months off Cry

Had in the back of my mind that if I clocked up a few kms we might get up the ladder a bit & maybe grab Shane a welcome back Jellybean. Managed to do about 70kms before Shane said he might call it a day, I foolishly mentioned that I might try for the Ton. Of course 5mins later Huey promptly buggered off & left us with sweet fa wind wise Foot in mouth Yell Yell

Went back to de-rig & noticed the wind had filled back in a bit so being the glutton for punishment I am I rigged the 6.8m & went out for another go. Was actually pretty good, on the plane all the time & only stopped when I whacked something & went over the handlebars. Oh & the sun was getting low so all the creepy crawlies of the harbour would be stiring soon & I didn't fancy a Cobbler sting for my efforts.

Tide was very low, the lowest I've sailed on. I notice the DoT site said the tide was coming in but it was even lower after I finished about 6ish than when Shane stopped.

Really enjoyable afternoon Laughing

Wazzashouldabeenabogan at the V8's :-) congrats on getting all the right bits in the right order when rigged Wazza, after that long off season of yours I was worried about whether you would be able to pull that one off. Turned on GPS, then Turned off your GPS before driving home, in (probably) your own car, that's gotta be Top Ten Wazzamiracle Day 😄

another great pb Morts....congrats.

Yup Fangy, rigging was no problem at all. I could see glaciers moving in real time but, all in all, not a  bad effort. And even got the broken footstrap screw out with a soldering iron. It's an optional extra on my Swiss Army Knife but, be warned,  you do need to let it cool down before puttting it back in your pocketCry

Hope the wing joint is healing well skipper and, FYFI Firie, I thought that Stroppo had cleaned up all those super swans in the Pond. You mean that there are more out there?

Rigging area quite good here at the Broadwater but lots of distractions....pneumatic bikini babes ( although my manboobs are superb but maybe not quite as perky as they were...and my left nipple is sagging a tad...WTF?), traffic wardens hiding in bushes, bushy babes...Sin City. Wonderful.

20-25knts tomorrow possibly....I'll report back.
