Lake Tinaroo, QLD, AU - Exocet Turbo Boost 67,  38 Nitro,  7M Gator.

Northerlies all morning on the trees at my place in Mareeba so I rang James Drinnan for a local weather report . It was not good, south easterlies, cold and cloudy in Atherton so I decided to not bother and texted Billy and Fred to not bother driving up to the tablelands as there was no way they would get a sail.   By 2 Pm the northerly gusts in Mareeba were consistent and strong so I decided to go for a look anyway.  Janes said he would be there between 2 and 3.  Arrived at Tinaroo at 2:30, no James and enough breeze to tempt me so I rigged up and hit the water at 3 pm.  The wind was 13-14 with gusts up to 15-16 knots for an hour then it died at 4:15.  Cool

Well done gents - glad to see you took the cheap option Cam...rather than fly over the WA or Vic for the day Tongue out. Ian, looking as closely as I was at Meteye, it was always going to be a close call. The early bird gets the worm. You made the right call and scored...Look forward to catchin up in the coming weeks gents, take care.
