Canton Beach, NSW, AU 10-20kt SW 118L Tabou Manta; 6.0 SImmer Style, 32 Unifiber Weedie

Hit the water at 7am and sailed till 12.30pm. Took a while for me to rack up the 75km but really stoked with it and as a result feeling super chilled out. Focused on keeping the leading hip forward, and as a result less load on the front arm and more weight in the harness.

Just a few others out in a rarish December SWer...

Hahaha... you're funny Johnny.

Congrats on the big distance Andrew. Showing a lot of sailing fitness and dexterity for someone at your stage. Amazing to watch your progression. 75klms is a fantastic effort. Such a shame you didn't have anyone to backup your score and lock in a KM jellybean (you need at least one other teamy to register a score).

Good to see you've had a go at the alphas too. Really important to get good at those if you want to be a good sailor. IMO the alpha and Hr are the greatest measure of sailing skills.

WRT to front arm, shift your lines one cm forward (both lines) and that will unweight your front arm a bit. Only shift them 1cm at a time coz you're probably pretty close to the sweet spot already if you're able to do 75klms. And as soon as you find that sweet spot, mark it with some electrical tape or something. Keep in mind it will change for your 5m and 7m (downside of having different brand/types of sails in your quiver), but not by too much.

Keep on trucking man!
