1 GPS race and two slalom starts but wind died on us for the slalom today.

What a great event 4 GPS races and 2 slalom. We raced every day how good is that, and those of us who were lucky enough sailed 4 days in a row with Thursday howling NE breeze and really saw what this place is capable of.. A big thanks to the race crew for making it happen in very trying conditions. Also not possible without James and Murray a big thanks, team effort. We really wanted the big NE breeze that we had on Thursday and probably tomorrow but that's windsurfing. I had a great time with great people thanks to all those who came and enjoyed the weekend.

wind came in better than expected. Did a half hour GPS & tried for a slalom but had to be cancelled as  only the most gifted, excellent, experienced, genius  types could plane.

I won a T shirt for best whinger. Too tired to write more, am sure Sue will cover it adequately.

5-15kts SSE Sanctuary Point, NSW, AU- 7m NCX - 115 Xcross - 38cms makani weedie then 7.8m OD

After being caught overpowered and rescued Friday I played it safe and rigged the 7m. It was blowing 15kts when I rigged then it died as I hit the water and bobbed around . Later I think I went in a 30min GPS thingy although I was late starting as I changed up to the 7.8m and spent a lot of time bobbing. The wind came in at 15kts odd at the end end but I think the official 30mins may have finished by then.

Getting my act together on the big kit in those conditions- so much less tiring if you don't drop the sail! It was still tiring getting up near the mast for the lulls  then back in the straps for the gusts so I didn't go over the front.. Got some lovely long runs at the end of the day - I really enjoyed sailing them . The chop was flatter than off coal and more rolling and the scenery pleasant. Just had fun doing long runs in the gusts..I want to get fitter and better in chop because once you get it right it's SO much fun!

Not the best conditions for the guys but still the occasional good patch. I was going to try the slalom but it was subplaning getting out to the start and then very patchy so they called it off..I did go around the buoys for practise although with such lightwind it was very hard to bear off enough to get down to it.Gave them a wide berth too..

Went for an hr walk around the forehsore after- very pleasant.

Sick of living out of the back of the van in the caravan park so I was keen to get home to comfort!

Last day of the event down south. Again it wasnt supposed to be much good yet we have almost done a slalom.

Ok.. we didnt but we have still sailed around a bit and it is a bit of a paradise there with the lovely clean water and weed...ok..we all have weed fins after all..

I have enjoyed myself and l think everyone has..

Big thanks to the organisers and the volonteers (Bruce can respell this for you at an expensive rate of course)!
